Scene - The Cave of Darkscales the Dragon
Interior. A huge dragon - DARKSCALES - guards the cage of Prince RUSSEL. ALEXANDRIA enters. NARRATOR enters behind her.
NARRATOR
Alexendria has entered the cave of the evil dragon Darkscales. She see's her brother, Prince Russel, in a cage on the other side of the dragon.
RUSSEL
Alexandria get out of here.
ALEXANDRIA
Not without you brother.
NARRATOR
Darkscales sees Alexandria and charges at her.
RUSSEL
Alexandria, look out.
DARKSCALES runs towards ALEXANDRIA, breathing fire at her.
NARRATOR
The dragon blows fire at Alexandria. Alexandria takes out the magic mirror she got from when she defeated The Evil Queen of Reflectia and liberated the dwarves.
NARRATOR hands ALEXANDRIA the magic mirror. ALEXANDRIA aims the reflective part of the mirror onto the fire coming towards her.
NARRATOR
The magic mirror absorbs the dragon's fire, and throws it back at him.
ALEXANDRIA's mirror throws fire at DARKSCALES.
ALEXANDRIA
Take that you beast.
DARKSCALES is startled and starts flying and flailing. ALEXANDRIA runs up RUSSEL's cage.
NARRATOR
The dragon flies to the top of the cave, startled and trying to shake the fire off him. Alexandria approaches the cage of her brother and finds that it's locked.
ALEXANDRIA
Where's the keys?
RUSSEL
It's on the dragon's neck.
NARRATOR
Alexandria looks up at the flailing dragon and sees that the key is indeed on his neck.
RUSSEL
What now.
ALEXANDRIA
I got it.
ALEXANDRIA takes out the enchanted spindle needle and tries to pick the lock.
NARRATOR
Alexandria use the enchanted spindle needle she obtained from The Kingdom of Roses to try to pick the lock. She hears several clicks.
ALEXANDRIA
I think it's working.
DARKSCALES is done flailing and starts to run towards ALEXANDRIA. His mouth is opening and closing as if trying to bit everything around him.
RUSSEL
Alexandria, look out.
NARRATOR
Darkscales has regained himself and is starting to charge at Alexandria.
RUSSEL
He's not blowing fire anymore.
ALEXANDRIA
He must know that I can use it against him.
NARRATOR
Darkscales starts biting towards Alexandria.
NARRATOR hands ALEXANDRIA a golden egg.
NARRATOR
Alexandria takes out the golden egg. The egg she stole from the Land of Ogres. That's where golden eggs from.
ALEXANDRIA throws the egg into DARKSCALE's mouth. DARKSCALE chokes and falls to the ground.
NARRATOR
She throws the golden egg into the throat of the dragon. The dragon starts to convulse and eventually falls to the ground.
ALEXANDRIA goes towards DARKSCALE's body and starts to take the key from his neck.
NARRATOR
Alexandria cautiously approaches the beast. Alexandria grabs onto the key on the dragon's neck.
DARKSCALES starts to stir.
RUSSEL
Alexandria look out.
DARKSCALES flies, ALEXANDRIA on his neck.
NARRATOR
Oh no. The dragon has caughed the golden egg out and is now fully awake. He senses Alexandria on his necklace and tries to shake her off.
ALEXANDRIA
Whoa there.
DARKSCALES flies to the highest point of the cave. It's pretty high.
NARRATOR
Alexandria however has a firm grasp on the metal necklace around the dragon's neck. Darkscales flies high up towards the high roof of the cave. Alexandria finally gets hold of the key, but loses grip and it falls somewhere in one of the vast caverns below.
The keys flies into nothingess.
ALEXANDRIA
Oh that's not good.
NARRATOR
Darkscales flying and flailing becomes more and more violent. Alexndria loses her grip and starts to fall.
ALEXANDRIA starts to fall.
ALEXANDRIA
This isn't good either.
NARRATOR
Alexandria takes out a purse of fairy dust.
NARRATOR throws a tiny purse at ALEXANDRIA. She sprinkles some fairy dust on her.
NARRATOR
The fairy dust that the little lost boy gave her. She sprinkles it all over her and she begins to fly. Dragonscales charges at Alexandria.
DRAGONSCALES charges towards ALEXANDRIA.
ALEXANDRIA
It ends here you beast.
NARRATOR hands ALEXANDRIA a vial of green liquid.
NARRATOR
Alexandria takes out a vial of slime she obtained from The Magic Swamp of the Royal Frogs.
ALEXANDRIA flies towards DRAGONSCALES and throws the vial down his throat. DRAGONSCALES transforms into a frog and starts to fall.
NARRATOR
She flies close to Dragonscales' mouth and shoves the vial down his throat. Dragonscale starts to convulse and he turns into a little frog.
ALEXANDRIA catches the frog.
NARRATOR
Alexandria catches the falling frog and sets it gently on the ground of the caves near Russel's cage.
ALEXANDRIA puts the frog down and runs to RUSSEL's cage.
RUSSEL
Alexandria that was amazing. You defeated Darkscales.
ALEXANDRIA
It wasn't easy. Believe me.
RUSSEL
What about the lock on the cage?
NARRATOR
Alexandria looks around and finds the golden egg that Darkscales spat out.
ALEXANDRIA looks around and picks up the golden egg. She smashes the lock on RUSSEL's cage with it.
NARRATOR
Alexandria picks up the egg and smashes the lock on the cage with it. The cage opens, freeing Russel.
RUSSEL steps out of the cage.
RUSSEL
Thank you sister. You have saved my life. More importantly, you have also saved the kingdom from the treachery of the dragon Darkscales.
ALEXANDRIA
Darkscales is a little more complicated than that. He's not a dragon. He was a prince that was enchanted by an Evil Wizard. Prince Edgar of Goldentree was the object of The Evil Wizard's affections, but Prince Edgar could not return those feelings, so The Evil Wizard placed a powerful curse on Prince Edgar.
RUSSEL
He turned him into a dragon?
ALEXANDRIA
And the only cure was the kiss of true love.
RUSSEL
The poor prince. No one human being should be forced to live their lives as something they're not.
RUSSEL picks up the frog.
RUSSEL
I'm not sure if this will cute you my friend, but it won't hurt.
RUSSEL kisses the frog and it transforms into a handsome prince. EDGAR.
EDGAR
I'm me again. (to RUSSEL) Hello.
RUSSEL
Hi.
EDGAR
Hi. What's going on?
ALEXANDRIA
You were enchanted, but the kiss of true love has awoken you.
EDGAR (TO RUSSEL)
Did you kiss me?
RUSSEL
Yes.
EDGAR holds RUSSEL's hands.
EDGAR
Well, I guess we have much to talk about.
RUSSEL
We really do.
ALEXANDRIA
Come on guys. Let's get out of here.
ALEXANDRIA throws fairy dust on everyone, including NARRATOR, and they flie out of the cage.
